Sindhuli Disabled Women Association (SDWA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to promoting the rights, dignity, and empowerment of people with disabilities. With the support of Abilis Foundation, SDWA is launching the project “Empower Her: A Step Towards Inclusive Justice” to enhance access to justice, legal awareness, and leadership among People with disabilities in Sindhuli.
We are seeking a qualified, motivated, and committed individual for the following position:
Position: Project Coordinator (1 Position)
📍 Location: Kamalamai Municipality, Sindhuli
🕒 Duration: 6 Months (with possibility of extension based on performance and funding)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate overall planning, implementation, and reporting of the EmpowerHer project activities.
- Mobilize and support women with disabilities in leadership, legal literacy, and justice-related capacity-building activities.
- Work closely with local stakeholders including government bodies, legal aid institutions, and OPDs.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely submission of reports to the donor and SDWA board.
- Organize community outreach and advocacy events to promote access to justice and inclusion.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial transparency in collaboration with the SDWA team.
Required Competencies:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline (social work, gender studies, law, or development studies preferred).
- Proven interest or experience in working on disability rights, women’s empowerment, or justice-related projects.
- Good communication, coordination, and community facilitation skills.
- Strong organizational and reporting abilities.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email).
- Prior experience working with persons with disabilities is an added advantage.
