Sindhuli Disabled Women Association (SDWA) was established in 2019 by a group of young and energetic women with diverse disabilities from Sindhuli district. The association was founded with a shared vision of building an inclusive society where persons with disabilities can live with dignity and have equal access to opportunities without any barriers.
Our mission is to empower women with disabilities by promoting their rights and enhancing their capabilities through advocacy, awareness, and skill-building programs. We strive to create a supportive environment where women with disabilities can actively participate in all areas of life, including education, employment, social activities, and decision-making processes.
At SDWA, we believe that every individual deserves equal opportunities and the ability to lead a fulfilling life. Our programs focus on raising awareness about the rights of women with disabilities, advocating for policy changes, and providing skill development training to enhance their independence and self-sufficiency. Through our collaborative efforts, we aim to break down societal barriers and foster a more inclusive and equitable community.
We work closely with local government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure the voices of women with disabilities are heard and their needs are addressed. By promoting inclusivity and empowering women with disabilities, we envision a society where everyone, regardless of their physical or mental abilities, can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
Since our inception, we have impacted the lives of many women by providing them with the necessary tools and resources to lead a dignified life. Our commitment remains strong as we continue to advocate for a just society where every woman with a disability is respected, empowered, and given equal opportunities to succeed.
